The Backstory — Why This Exists at All

I will be honest. Modncv did not start as a grand vision to “disrupt the career industry.” It started because I was frustrated.

I watched friends — smart, capable people with engineering degrees from good colleges — apply to hundreds of jobs and hear nothing back. Not rejections. Just silence. They would spend an entire weekend perfecting a resume in Microsoft Word, upload it to Naukri, and then wait. And wait. And wait. Weeks would pass. No callbacks. No interviews. Nothing.

The worst part was not the rejection. It was the not knowing. Was the resume bad? Was the formatting wrong? Did a human even see it? They had no way to tell. They would change a few words, reupload, and hope the next round would be different. It rarely was.

Then I learned about ATS — Applicant Tracking Systems. Software that scans resumes before a human ever sees them. And I learned that 75% of resumes in India are rejected by ATS before a recruiter even opens them. Not because the candidates were unqualified. Because the formatting was wrong. I started building Modncv alone. No team. No funding. No advisors. Just me, a laptop, and an unreasonable amount of coffee. The Early Users — When Real People Started Using It

The first real validation did not come from metrics or analytics. It came from a message.

Rohan Yeldi, a data analyst, had been applying for jobs for months with barely any responses. He rebuilt his resume on Modncv, optimized his approach, and landed a role at Morningstar. When he messaged me about it, I stared at my screen for a full minute. Someone I had never met used something I built and it actually changed their outcome. So on April 17, 2026, I hit publish. And then I did what every founder does after launching: I refreshed the page every 30 seconds.

The first upvote came within minutes. Then the comments started. Real comments from real people — not just “nice product” but specific feedback about what they liked and what resonated.

By the end of the day, Modncv had 60 upvotes, 45 followers, and 26 comments. And the badge appeared: Product of the Day.

I will not pretend I was cool about it. I was not. I called my mom. She did not fully understand what PeerPush was, but she understood that her son built something and people liked it. That was enough.

The Results
